New Government Covid-19 Safety Protocols

In June 2020, Anguilla was categorized by the World Health Organization as having “no cases” of COVID-19 and continues to have a classification of “No Travel Health Notice: Very Low Risk for COVID-19” from the Centers for Disease Control. To date, there are no active or suspected cases on the island and the government has implemented new safety protocols for Anguilla’s November 1, 2020 Phase II reopening.

Travelers must complete an online pre-approval for entry and provide a negative test result obtained three to five days prior to arrival and proof of health insurance that covers COVID-related treatment. After taking a PCR test at entry, guests will relax and play in place in their approved accommodation’s ‘bubble’ for 10 days (14 days if the virus prevalence in the originating country is over 0.2%). Staying in place guests can also dine out at Cap Juluca and other participating resorts and restaurants on select days, golf at CuisinArt Golf Resort and charter a boat to snorkel, dive or have lunch at an offshore cay. Anguilla continues to expand this flexible ‘moving bubble’ concept, with safe access to more restaurants and excursions being added weekly. Required advance reservations and transport will be arranged by our staff. After a negative second test, guests can be cleared by the Ministry of Health to explore the island. Details, including applicable fees, are available on the Anguilla Tourist Board’s website at www.ivisitanguilla.com/escape.  Sint. Maarten and other Anguilla gateways may have different entry and exit requirements.

Everything you need to know about being pre-approved for entry is on the Anguilla Tourist Board website and we can guide you through the process. We encourage you to talk with us first before applying, as protocols may change and could be different at your time of stay.  As always, traveler’s/trip insurance is recommended.

Relaxing & Playing in Place, Plus Enjoy Many Favorite Offsite Activities
We are prepared and committed to keeping everyone healthy and happy, and ensuring you have a vacation experience starting day one.  Our staff has completed extensive health and wellness instruction and we continue to deliver both 5-star service and safety.

While guests are relaxing and playing in place on the property and Long Bay Beach, we are able to provide contactless concierge, butler, beach service and modified housekeeping, as well as grocery/bar stocking, restaurant delivery, wine selections and even chef service through our staff-only commercial kitchen. Guests will also find plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained including swimming, beach volleyball, kayaking, paddle-boarding and fishing. We can also arrange live music and beach yoga, online art and cooking classes, a beach bonfire with s’mores and movies by the pool. Vacationing-in-place guests can also use the gyms, tennis and basketball courts, as well as golf at CuisinArt Golf Resort & Spa and charter boats for snorkeling, diving and lunch at an offshore cay.

After being cleared to explore the island by the Ministry of Health, guests can also enjoy an expanded menu of optional services including onsite massage, in-person chef, childcare, island excursions, dine out at Anguilla’s award-winning restaurants and visit other beaches, resorts and spas.

If You Test Positive for the Virus
If you receive a positive test result, have a temperature 100 degrees Fahrenheit or higher or exhibit other signs of the COVID-19 virus, the Ministry of Health will determine If you should be moved to a medical facility, otherwise you will need to isolate in your villa until cleared by the Ministry of Health – typically after documentation of 10 symptom-free days, physical exam and negative PCR test administered according to approved national testing protocols – even if it means extending your stay beyond your check out date. To protect our staff’s safety, we are unable to provide in-person housekeeping services for guests who test positive and are in isolation, but food, beverages, personal items and medical supplies can be arranged and delivered contactless to you (some at additional charge). We will provide cleaning supplies.

Wearing Masks
We provide complimentary disposable masks and gloves, as well as hand sanitizer and sanitizing stations. Please also bring your own mask to wear at entry to Anguilla and when traveling to the property. Face coverings must be worn during periodic health screenings, by staff and when guests vacationing in place are unable to social distance from others, but are not typically required across the island for those who have been cleared to explore.
