Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers is a name the Anguilla people and lovers of the island know very well. The intelligent, kind and beautiful Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers graced the stage at the Miss Universe pageant in Thailand last week, representing Great Britain and earning a Miss Universe Top 20 spot. The first black woman to represent Great Britain ever, 25-year-old Kentish Rogers entered the pageant with a long list of achievements already attached to her name.
Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers was born and raised on Anguilla. Her first dream was to represent Great Britain as an Olympic athlete. She proved her athletic prowess competing in the women’s heptathlon javelin at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, before being sidelined by a knee injury. Kentish Rogers’ strength as a world-class athlete carried over to the classroom and courtroom. She completed her law degree at the University of Birmingham and is now a Barrister. She continues to share her love of Anguilla, as well as her advice as a mentor for young girls from her home island and around the world, as Miss Great Britain.
Santosha Villa Estate Anguilla had the pleasure of hosting the Miss Universe-bound Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers for a photo shoot at our Long Bay Beach tennis and beach estate. Her light, radiance and natural beauty only enhance the beauty and tranquility of our Caribbean beachfront estate. We wish her ongoing success and congratulate her on being as beautiful inside as she is outside. Follow Dee-Ann Kentish Rogers on instagram.
